3 Weeks to Spring Break

Dear Parents,

I hope you had a wonderful long weekend.  We packed a lot of learning in three days.  Students used context clues to determine character traits of a drama role.  In writing, the students have composed a paragraph about the best part of themselves.  Decimals have been compared to fractions and money. We are finding patterns on earth in science - tides, seasons, daylight hours, and shadows.

Spelling This Week
Students were given a list of review words  A thoughtful, 4th grade quality complete sentence must be written for each word.  The sentences are due Thursday in lieu of a worksheet. The spelling test will be on Friday.

Reading Log
A Nonfiction Reading Log will come home Monday in the homework folder.  Students are responsible for completing ONE tic-tac-toe a week (all tic-tac-toes must pass through the middle box each week).  The log will have activities for four weeks. I will check the log and activities each Friday and will give a final grade at the end of the four weeks.
